BI Connector v5.2 is released, Now Supports Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) SSO
BI Connector connects self-service data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau to:
- Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
- Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)
all of which are usually referred to as Oracle BI.
The BI Connector users must enter their Oracle BI Server credentials to successfully connect their preferred data visualization tool to OBIEE.
Some organizations using Oracle OBIEE are using a Single Sign-on (SSO) setup for the BI Server user authentication.
The SSOs generally used in OBIEE include:
- Windows native authentication
- WebAuth
- WebAuth (with SAML)
- Oracle Access Manager (OAM)
- Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
BI Connector was so far supporting the first 4 SSOs listed above. Now, with the release of v5.2, BI Connector also supports the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) SSO.
Oracle E-Business Suite, as the name indicates, is a set of business applications from Oracle bundled and integrated to work with each other.
If your organization is using the EBS SSO, you can set up your OBIEE DSNs in BI Connector using the following steps:
- Enter your EBS URL in the server name
- Provide the appropriate Port number
- Check the Single sign-on box, and choose Oracle EBS from the dropdown menu
- Enter your EBS credentials in the Username and Password fields
- Choose between Subject Areas or Reports and setup DSN as needed
If you’re using Oracle EBS SSO, download BI Connector 5.2 now to visualize your OBIEE data in modern self-service analytics tools!
