BI Connector retains the OBIEE Security model in both Power BI Desktop and Tableau Desktop. In Power BI Service, the Security model of Power BI applies. Similarly, in Tableau Server, the Security model of your Tableau Server applies.

BI Connector connects Power BI or Tableau to OAC/OTBI/OAS/OBIEE Subject Areas and Reports. It doesn’t support connectivity to BIP Reports at the moment.

BI Connector connects your Power BI or Tableau to your OAC/OTBI/OAS/OBIEE data. It doesn’t support writeback.
