These three terms decide how your BI Connector plan is priced, so here's how they nest inside each other.
Application is the top-level Oracle Fusion product line: ERP, HCM, FSCM (ERP + SCM), or CX.
Module is a functional area inside an application. ERP includes modules like Financials and Procurement. HCM includes modules like Payroll.
Data source is the specific object BI Connector connects to and pulls from: an OTBI analysis, a BI Publisher report, a base table, a pre-built query from Fusion Query Vault, a custom query, a PVO, or a business object.
Example: if you're pulling GL Balances and AP Invoices, both from the Financials module, that's one module and two data sources.
